- ³Lame Business
- ²-------------

- The article before this told you the
- big business of Piranha/Grace. I
- promised him if he write an article
- I'll do it too.
-
- So enjoy it !
-
- Last year I and GT/Majic 12 worked for
- the railways during our summer skills.
- We worked in Gyor which is about 90
- kilometres far away from Sopron and 50
- kilometres far away from Kapuvar, where
- GT is living.
-
- The first day we went to the railway
- station of Gyor at 9:00 am instead of
- 8:00 am coz our classmates and we
- (ofcourse) thought that 8:00 am is too
- early for some officers and for us too
- !! (He he) They told us some workers'
- protection law and then we get our
- worker-clothes. We get a pair of shoes
- which fasion came from the '30 years,
- and get a blue trouser and overcoat.
- Then we went to our workplace. It was
- terrible. A tipical goods station with
- 6 lines and with too track-watchman
- houses and ofcourse between the two
- track-watchman houses there was a pub!
- (Nice)
-
- We worked a really shit work time. We
- had to work 12 hours a day. From 5.30
- to 17:30 and then we get 24 free time.
- Then we started our works at 17:30 and
- it ended at 5:30 in the morning. We
- had to work 6 nights and 6 days and we
- get a big fine 5.400 Fts which is
- enough for about 200 noname disks. So
- we didn't have too much feeling for
- work.
-
- We get a free card for the trains
- between Sopron and Gyor but only for
- the second class. Lame !! I've always
- travelled on the first class coz the
- second class is really dirty.
-
- What did we have to do at the goods
- station?
-
- Simply nothing. Where I worked there
- was about 3-6 trains a 12 hours period.
- If a train arrived I had to go to the
- wagons and had to write down a 10
- letters number. This was the
- identificator for the wagons and I had
- to check all doors and windows of the
- wagons. All of the wagons were leaded.
- If there was a lead shortage I had to
- mark the number on the paper. After
- that in the track-watchman house my
- boss verified the wagon numbers with
- the list what we get from the
- engine-driver. (my boss was a pregnant
- woman.) Sometimes they gave me a
- walky-talky and I didn't have to write
- down the numbers for a paper, I just
- told them simply.
- Sometimes the trains were 800-1000
- meters long so I had to walk alot every
- day.
-
- In the night I had to take with me a
- lamp coz there wasn't any light between
- the trains. So it was a bit strange in
- the night. From 3:00 am everybody at
- the goods station went to sleep. Of
- course there wasn't any beds so
- everybody sleep where he could, usually
- on the top of the desks !! I tried it
- sometimes but it was not to comfortable
- so I prefer a bench which stood in the
- garden of the station. The only
- problem was that it was too cold in the
- night.
-
- After the work I went home with the
- first train to Sopron. It was a lame
- worker's train ofcoz. At home I went
- to my sweet bed for a short sleep and
- about twelve o'clock I used to wake up.
- Ofcourse I had a big hangover that day.
-
- Anyway there I saw intresting things
- too.
-
- There was a worker who got only 3
- fingers on his right hand.
-
- There was a cool freak (not computer
- oriented) whose name was Denes. He was
- boombastic. He was a metal freak with
- long hair and he didn't have tooth
- ahead and told some cool stories.
- Maybe you know that the railway
- companies got an internal phone lines.
- So Denes called a number which is about
- 300 kilometres far away from Gyor and
- he told to a woman the he would fuck
- him. He made it about 5 times in the
- night so the woman were really angry
- for him. But they didn't know who was
- the phoner so the women thought it was
- a man worker so when they saw him later
- they beat that man!!
-
- Or someday Denes was sent for a pad for
- the worker's coffe percolator. He
- couldn't buy it in the shop which stood
- in the corner, so He thought a big and
- went to Budapest under his worktime.
- Ofcourse he could buy it in Budapest,
- but his fellow workers were a bit
- strange mood when when he waved his
- hands to them from a train which
- arrived to Gyor at the end of the
- worktime.
-
- And Denes told me lotsa times that he
- didn't worry about his boss, coz the
- railway company is need Denes. But
- after all you have to know that the
- hungarian railway company was a big
- communist company in the former times,
- so what we saw there were not too big
- surprise for us.
